Embark on an unforgettable journey along the Great Koala Trail. Explore 230km of stunning landscapes, from serene beaches to lush national parks, all while immersing yourself in the local culture of coastal NSW.

Dorrigo to Glenreagh (Day 3 - 74 km)

  • Dangar Falls: picturesque falls tumbling into Dorrigo National Park complete with a great viewing area.
  • Coramba Road: multiple railway crossings with evidence of the original rail from Dorrigo to Glenreagh.
  • Giant Tallowood Tree: nestled in the Cascade National Park right beside the trail.
  • Ulong: The beginning of the Tallowood Mountain Rail Trail (not yet open).
  • Glenreagh: Heritage Railway & award winning bakery. Bat Island. Stay overnight.

Approximately 74 km. A mixture of sealed & unsealed roads.  There are hills.  The Tallowood Mountain Rail Trail is not yet open so the route has deviations via existing unsealed roads.  Eateries at Ulong & Lowanna.   Long descent into Glenreagh.  Take care crossing wooden bridges.
